Milwaukee Preservation Alliance depends on your support to make our work possible.  As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, we cannot fulfill our mission of promoting awareness of the historical, cultural, and economic value of Milwaukee’s built heritage without you!

Your support advances our important work

  • Seeing vacant and endangered buildings at the Soldiers Home restored and returned to the service of veterans. We are excited about the plans for the Chapel, Ward Theater, and Governor's Mansion announced in early 2024 by Alexander Company. 

  • Continued partnership with our Save Our Domes partners Friends of the Domes, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Docomomo-US/WI. We are excited about the plans approved by the County, 

  • Standing up for places that matter to the people of Milwaukee when they are endangered. We help decision makers understand the value of preservation and serve a resource to property owners to make it possible.

  • Educational and community building programs such as Happy Hours, the Cream City Symposium, Soldiers Home tours, webinars, our annual meeting, and more.

And our work is having an impact! We are proud to have received 3 major preservation advocacy awards in the last 3 years: the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation National Preservation Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Modernism in America Advocacy Citation of Merit from Docomomo-US, and the Wisconsin Historical Society Board of Curators Historic Preservation Award. Your gift makes a difference!
